Note: Lunch isn’t included but feel free to bring along a drink and snacks or call at the upstairs cafe!
In this 3 hour workshop you will be guided by Will through the process of designing and producing a decorative brass mobile perfect to hang in your home.
You will design a template for the mobile, then using a range of tools you will pierce (saw out) the brass sheet, file and clean the shapes you have produced and finally assemble a wire frame for your sculptural mobile to hang from.
The workshop will give the basic skills in small scale metal work, these can also be applied to various design projects including - metal sculpture and jewellery.
All materials and tools will be supplied, all you need to do is turn up and have fun!
A few things to consider when booking:
Please note this workshop is for adults only: 18+
The building does have lift access.
Please bare in mind that the process of sawing out the brass can be quite a strenuous activity - please be prepared to spend a considerable amount of time sawing, but the results are well worth it!! and you can take short breaks throughout.
